Requirements

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Working proficiency reading technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Foundational knowledge of QC principles, inspection techniques, and industry standards.
  • Proficient with standard measuring tools and test equipment (calipers, multimeter, etc.).
  • Ability to follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and verbal direction.
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to identify and report discrepancies.
  • Basic math skills and data recording accuracy.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently within established processes.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, final, and RMA inspections per established procedures.
  • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, and quality documentation.
  • Verify dimensions, material types, finishes, labels, quantities, assembly workmanship, and wiring against requirements.
  • Conduct electrical testing (120V–480V) using Hi-Pot testers, Meggers, multimeters, phase rotation testers, and load banks.
  • Perform receiving inspections using AQL sampling plans.
  • Process inspection transactions in Epicor/MES and maintain accurate records.
  • Create DMRs and evaluate RMAs per department procedures.
  • Capture and upload photographs and supporting documentation for traceability.
  • Assist with padmount inspections and point-to-point verification.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all established quality, safety, and testing procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with energized testing procedures, barriers, and PPE requirements.
  • Support inspection activities across both buildings as required to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to all department protocols, safety requirements, and work instructions.
  • Support torque calibration and preventive maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S standards.
  • Document inspection and test results accurately in required systems.
  • Communicate nonconformances to Leads, Supervisors, and Engineering as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assist with training and contribute to work instruction development where proficiency is demonstrated.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
