About The Position

The Quality Control Inspector I supports and assists with auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. The role works with Quality Control Inspector II and III team members to test random samples of finished goods, report manufacturing-process deviations and finished-goods defects, and liaise with Quality Assurance to troubleshoot and resolve problems. The position supports quality control systems in battery production, inspects cells for specification conformance, and assists with safety and performance analysis in pre-production and mass-production environments. It collects manufacturing-process product data and helps evaluate sample-cell data to reduce defects and improve battery performance. It also supports cell manufacturing through defect-prevention audits that help assure production quality. The role is onsite. Personal protective equipment may be required, including a Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, or a hazmat suit with respirator. Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1–2 years of quality control and quality inspection experience.
At least 1 year of familiarity with quality management tools such as control charts, FTA, and FMEA.
Excellent dexterity and nimbleness with repetitive hand motions.
Practical experience with materials analysis, testing, and chemical analysis equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to keep accurate records.
Ability to read product data sheets and confirm product conformance to specifications.
Working-level English proficiency, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Support quality control systems in battery production.
Assist with cell inspections to determine whether specifications are met.
