This role involves maintaining work areas to THM standards, conducting line audits, and inspecting finished products for acceptance or rejection. The inspector performs various physical tests on products, including Rubber Ring, Acetone, Vice, Impact, and Long-Term tests. Daily Quality Control (QC) tests such as Quick Burst and Stiffness testing are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires meticulous record-keeping, including filing inspection results, test data, and daily lot data. Verification and maintenance of QC test logs are essential. The inspector will also be responsible for sampling and inspecting raw materials like rubber rings. Proficiency in using hand measurement tools such as calipers, dial gauges, OD tape, and plug gauges is necessary, along with the ability to calibrate and repair gauges. Packaging test samples for mailing and preparing written reports are also key duties. This includes checking special orders and reading blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications. Maintaining special test records and completing assigned special tests or projects are expected. The role also involves checking the quality of finished goods for shipment and returned goods for acceptance into stock. Participation in outside agency audits of the plant with the Senior QC Auditor is required.
