About The Position

Pall Corporation, a Danaher operating company and a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification, is seeking a Quality Control Inspection Supervisor. This role is responsible for planning and managing inspection workflows to meet labor, material, quality, and schedule objectives. The supervisor will oversee the Quality Control inspection team, providing direction, coordination, and leadership to ensure timely and cost-effective inspection activities that support production requirements. This position reports to the site Sr. Quality Manager and is part of the Aerospace quality department located in New Port Richey, FL. The role requires access to export-controlled commodities and necessitates U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization. In this role, you will work closely with internal value streams, external customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure product compliance. You will apply knowledge of quality management, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies while coaching and mentoring inspectors. The position involves integrating the Danaher Business System (DBS) into quality inspection processes, managing associate performance and development, and coordinating with customer and government source inspectors. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality or an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of quality control experience in a regulated industry (i.e. Aerospace or Automotive).
  • A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience supervising a team of six or more individuals performing inspection-related activities.
  • Skilled in the use of inspection tools and equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, and other precision instruments).
  • Knowledgeable in AS9100/AS9102/AS9110 – Aerospace Quality Management System Requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in interpreting complex engineering part drawings & Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in ASQ certification in quality.
  • Previous experience as AS9100 lead auditor.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and managing inspection workflows to meet labor, material, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Overseeing the Quality Control inspection team, providing direction, coordination, and leadership.
  • Ensuring timely and cost-effective inspection activities that support production requirements.
  • Working closely with internal value streams, external customers, and regulatory bodies to ensure products are fully compliant and meet all customer and Pall requirements and expectations.
  • Applying knowledge of quality management, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies while coaching, mentoring, and developing inspectors.
  • Integrating Danaher Business System (DBS) into quality inspection including updating charts (Visual Management tools), report inspection yield metrics and activities, team goals and countermeasures to management during Daily Management meetings, and associate training.
  • Managing associate performance and development including recognition, feedback, corrective / disciplinary actions, training, and developmental processes, and daily attendance.
  • Coordinating with customer source inspectors and government source inspectors, when needed, to ensure no impact on production schedules.
  • Maintaining departmental training matrix and ensuring redundant coverage for all customers that require source and FAA inspection.
