This role involves guiding, instructing, and communicating assigned work to employees within the department. The Quality Control Group Leader will monitor group quality and performance, ensuring adherence to work instructions and data card requirements. This position will also assist the Ops Leader in planning personnel utilization for efficiency and profitability, maintaining workflow to meet schedules, and ensuring measuring instruments are calibrated and in good working condition. The role includes assisting with product quality, company policies, and safety programs, as well as maintaining departmental paperwork. The Group Leader will communicate operating difficulties and submit recommendations for improvement, assist employees with work-related problems (including quality issues), and identify and communicate employee training needs to the supervisor. Training will be provided as needed, and input will be given to the Ops Leader and team members on Quality, Safety, Performance Appraisals, Productivity, Potential Discipline, and Reward & Recognition. Group Leaders are also expected to perform their usual classification responsibilities as required and other similar duties as assigned.
