About The Position

The Quality Control/Finished Goods position will ensure that all finished metal castings meet company and industry standards for quality and performance. This role involves conducting inspections at various stages of the production process, performing final checks on finished goods, and maintaining meticulous records to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality control within a metal casting or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and tools is a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and other conditions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of metal castings to verify dimensions, surface finish, and overall quality against specifications.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques as necessary to identify any defects or inconsistencies in finished goods.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and results to support quality assurance and compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports highlighting quality trends, non-conformities, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for quality defects and collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Assist in developing and refining quality control procedures and protocols to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and best practices related to quality control in metal casting.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the quality control processes.
  • Support internal and external audits related to quality control procedures and documentation.
