About The Position

Desert Ready Mix is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Field Technician to help ensure its ready-mix concrete products meet required quality standards, job specifications, and project requirements. The role performs on-site concrete testing, makes mix adjustments when needed, identifies and helps resolve quality concerns, and works with customers, contractors, sales representatives, and production teams to support customer satisfaction. The technician also keeps accurate records and ensures testing equipment is clean and in proper working condition.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers, contractors, and team members.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in ready-mix concrete quality control.
ACI Level 1 Certification.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily quality performance and ensure concrete meets job and project specifications.
Perform on-site concrete tests, including slump, air content, temperature, and unit weight measurements.
Adjust concrete mixes as needed to meet specifications and job requirements.
Identify and troubleshoot specification deviations, customer complaints, and warranty concerns.
Collaborate with sales representatives and production teams to resolve quality concerns and improve customer satisfaction.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of test results and mix adjustments.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
Keep testing equipment clean and maintained, and report or repair equipment issues as needed.
