Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering and 3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering; OR 7 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of the practical application of quality engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of internal combustion engines.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of engines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of MTU products
  • Working knowledge of gauge calibration and test equipment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  • Respond to line calls with immediate corrective action using of PDCA, 5 Whys, 8D and A3 tools.
  • Develop long-range corrective measures through root-cause analysis consistent with corporate objectives.
  • Provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns.
  • Design and implement control plan/inspection routings.
  • Support the procurement and maintenance of gauges and measuring equipment for quality control initiatives throughout the facility.
  • Perform process, machine and gauge capability studies.
  • Keep management abreast of progress, developments & pending problems.
