About The Position

The prospective candidate will report to the Quality Manager and shall be familiar with quality systems and manufacturing processes, preferably with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment (HVAC, aerospace, automotive). The candidate must be a graduate of a technical college or hold a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Electrical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering. The specific skills shall include the following, but are not limited to: Job Duties: Conversant with product audits and process audits. Prepare inspection standards and control plans for incoming parts as well as outgoing products. Conversant with implementation and maintenance of ISO quality systems. Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions. Familiar with conventional and digital measuring instruments and metrology systems, and able to manage a Quality Lab. Work with third-party inspection agencies and prepare daily audit packages for TSSA inspections. Assist the Quality Control Manager during quarterly UL/CSA audits and tri-annual ASME audits. Conversant with calibration systems and maintaining plant calibration programs. Experience in preparing control plans, FMEA, MSA, inspection and test plans. Experience visiting suppliers and addressing supplier-related issues. Assist with warranty evaluations if required. Work collaboratively with Design, Engineering, Production, and Materials departments as a strong team player. Improve First Pass Yield in testing and assembly cells by minimizing defective parts and process issues. Able to manage the quality team in the absence of the Quality Manager. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hydronic boilers. Other Duties: As assigned by the Quality Manager. Internal Contacts: Regular contact as part of daily duties involving non-controversial work activities. External Contacts: Suppliers and internal customers. Education Required: Engineering degree (minimum B.Sc. in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electro-Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering). Experience Required: 3+ years of operational experience in industrial manufacturing plants. Physical Skill and Effort: Requires skilled, accurate, rapid, and well-coordinated manual dexterity. The role also involves a variety of steady, active physical exertion.
