Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical field, or 5 years of relevant quality experience in metal fabrication.
  • Strong knowledge of quality documents, MTRs, NDE, and welding codes.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP software.
  • Certifications such as EIT with EGBC, CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI, AMPP CIP (NACE), or First Aid.
  • Familiarity with rubber lining, welding, and fabrication codes or specifications.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment involving welding, fabrication, or rubber lining.

Responsibilities

  • Review and compile quality documentation packages from the shop and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and completeness before release.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of quality records, including MTRs, NDE reports, and welding codes.
  • Host client quality representatives during shop visits.
  • Coordinate hold and witness inspection points.
  • Manage communication between production, sales, and scheduling.
  • Manage inspection releases.
  • Generate nonconformance reports.
  • Update weld trackers.
  • Assist with hands-on inspections as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet project quality documentation needs and ensure timely submission of quality packages.
  • Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors and support the development of a world-class safety culture.
