Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical field, or 5 years of relevant quality experience in metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of quality documents, MTRs, NDE, and welding codes.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SAP software.
- Certifications such as EIT with EGBC, CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI, AMPP CIP (NACE), or First Aid.
- Familiarity with rubber lining, welding, and fabrication codes or specifications.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment involving welding, fabrication, or rubber lining.
Responsibilities
- Review and compile quality documentation packages from the shop and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and completeness before release.
- Conduct detailed inspections of quality records, including MTRs, NDE reports, and welding codes.
- Host client quality representatives during shop visits.
- Coordinate hold and witness inspection points.
- Manage communication between production, sales, and scheduling.
- Manage inspection releases.
- Generate nonconformance reports.
- Update weld trackers.
- Assist with hands-on inspections as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers to meet project quality documentation needs and ensure timely submission of quality packages.
- Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors and support the development of a world-class safety culture.
