We are seeking a Quality Control Clerk who will work with the production department in the printing and distribution of direct mail marketing campaigns to meet the quality standards that have separated us from the competition. Working in the Quality Control department to ensure each department follows company standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and that all materials printed meet federal mailing regulations. The Quality Control Clerk will have a keen eye for detail, be comfortable working independently and confident in their decision-making abilities.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in printed materials.
  • Ability to follow instructions, samples, and quality specifications accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer and data verification skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work overtime or extended hours as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment with moving machinery and varying noise levels.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Artistic ability is a plus.
  • Knowledge of printing, mailing, or direct mail production processes is helpful but not required.
  • Previous quality control, printing, manufacturing, or mailing experience is helpful but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and sample production materials throughout various stages of the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor production lines and review work for proper construction, specifications, print quality, and compliance with approved standards.
  • Utilize Mail Verifier, Integra, data lookup programs, and related hardware/software to verify data accuracy, Intelligent Mail Barcode (IMB) information, and barcode grading.
  • Maintain and manage quality control time pulls and documentation.
  • Ensure departments follow established company SOPs and quality standards.
  • Identify defects, inconsistencies, or production issues and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow all company safety policies and required PPE procedures.
  • Effectively manage responsibilities across multiple machines and production lines.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
