About The Position

The Quality Control Assistant Manager at HTGP Plant 2 plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards before reaching our wholesale trade customers. This position involves overseeing quality control processes, coordinating with production teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager will support the Quality Control Manager in developing and enforcing quality policies, conducting audits, and managing a team of quality control inspectors. A key outcome of this role is to minimize defects and non-conformities, thereby reducing waste and increasing operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position ensures that HTGP Plant 2 maintains its reputation for delivering high-quality products consistently and compliantly within the wholesale trade industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing or wholesale trade environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Quality Management such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Experience working in a wholesale trade or manufacturing plant environment similar to HTGP Plant 2.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and statistical process control.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives that resulted in measurable operational benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily quality control operations and supervise quality control staff to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and finished goods to identify and address quality issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance records, and compliance certifications.
  • Support the development and updating of quality control procedures and training programs to enhance team competency and compliance.
