About The Position

The Quality Control department is seeking to fill a full time Quality Control (QC) Analyst role. Reporting to the Lead Quality Control Chemist, the QC Analyst will be responsible for a variety of QC tasks including but not limited to: verification of incoming raw cannabis weights, receiving samples into the ERP system (Sage), equipment calibrations, and generating monthly Health Canada Inventory reports.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma
  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control in a GMP/GPP environment.
  • Previously demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Previous working experience in receipt of materials (warehousing/shipping) in a controlled environment.
  • Bachelor of Science degree (preferably with a focus in Chemistry) or Bio-Technology diploma
  • Excellent interpersonal and active communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate a positive, “can-do” attitude and a willingness to learn new skills on the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using an ERP or QMS system (Sage)

Responsibilities

  • Review, edit, format documents from all departments and conduct incoming material inspections.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and conduct quality checks as directed by senior technicians, supervisors.
  • Conduct audits, quality inspections, document verification and testing of raw materials.
  • Use the internal ERP system to update receipt of materials, testing progress, and ordering of materials
  • Review production and packaging logbooks for completion and provide feedback, where applicable.
  • Assist with recurring calibrations on laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure the proper selection, care and use of tools, parts and equipment required for specific tasks.
  • Ensure all working areas including laboratories and counters are adhering to all Health Canada and legislative regulations.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
  • Other related tasks as required.
