About The Position

CTG is seeking a Quality Control Analyst III for a client project in Buffalo, New York. The position is onsite four days per week and has a stated duration of four months. The analyst serves as the testing lead for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional testing and ensuring quality deliverables align with project objectives, timelines, and established standards. The role provides guidance on testing strategies, execution, defect management, and process improvements. It has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but includes testing leadership and coordination for project team members. The analyst collaborates with Business Analysts, Developers, business partners, and testers to develop and implement system test strategies, plans, and designs. The role leads testing activities from test-plan review and test-case design through execution, test-data preparation, defect tracking, and test-session coordination. It also supports project estimation and departmental reporting, promotes Quality Assurance practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, and ensures testing follows company risk, regulatory, and internal control standards. Requirements

Associate degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field and at least 3 years of application testing experience; alternatively, a combination of at least 5 years of higher education and/or work experience, including 3 years of application testing experience.
Experience leading testing efforts for projects or initiatives.
Experience with Selenium, Appium, and Cucumber/BDD.
Programming experience with Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Experience developing and maintaining test frameworks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Software testing certification.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and project management practices.
Experience with web service testing applications and tools.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, business partners, and testers to develop and implement system test strategies, plans, and designs.
Lead testing activities, including reviewing test plans, designing and executing test cases, preparing test data, tracking defects, and coordinating test sessions.
Develop and maintain Quality Assurance traceability matrices that link business requirements to test cases.
Communicate testing approaches, progress, risks, and results to stakeholders through status reports and project meetings.
Lead defect triage and impact assessment discussions, ensuring issues are documented and appropriately addressed.
Evaluate test cases for regression testing and automation opportunities.
Participate in project estimation and support departmental reporting.
Promote Quality Assurance best practices, standards, and processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Identify and escalate risk-related issues while adhering to company risk, regulatory, and internal control standards.
Serve as testing lead for assigned projects, coordinating cross-functional testing efforts and ensuring quality deliverables.
Provide guidance on testing strategies, execution, defect management, and process improvements.
Ensure testing activities align with project objectives, timelines, and established quality standards.
Complete other related duties as assigned.
