About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a Supplier Quality Conformance Manager(QCM) to join our Supplier QCM team based in Mobile, Alabama, USA, where you will work alongside the Operations and Procurement teams. You will be part of the Supplier QCM team responsible for ensuring adherence to quality requirements and validating supplier issues raised by our operations. The team is organized to promote cross-functional collaboration, working autonomously, supporting each other, and learning collectively. Your role as a Supplier QCM will be to take the necessary contingency actions at our suppliers to protect operations from external quality issues while ensuring excellent collaboration with internal teams to better define the issues encountered in the production line.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering / methods, or a similar role within the aviation industry.
  • You have knowledge of standards and regulations (AS9100, TCCA, FAA, EASA)
  • You have solid problem-solving experience
  • You demonstrate leadership, autonomy, and the ability to work in a team
  • You are flexible enough to communicate with certain suppliers in a different time zone
  • You have a good work structure to be efficient in your work organization
  • You have a strong ability to synthesize and document information
  • Able to influence discussion and stakeholders using fluent English (negotiation level).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, for operating in a multicultural and a multifunctional environment.
  • SAP systems and portfolio MS Office, Google Suite or similar applications

  • Adherence to the Airbus A220 Quality Management System and its impact on the regulatory approvals which are granted to Airbus by the Aviation Authorities.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by continuously improving the quality of the product and processes provided to internal/external customers and regulatory authorities.
  • Through engagement and behaviors, drive individuals and teams to improve on current ways of working and standards to achieve excellence in manufacturing and quality.
  • Establish and deploy a high level of standards and processes to be followed.
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings daily
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms daily
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications daily
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts daily
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. (N/A)
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.(N/A)
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. .(N/A)
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer daily
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor weekly
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice monthly
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces daily
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
