About The Position

Perform duties to visually inspect the construction of finished units to ensure conformance to prescribed product specifications and engineering requirements, following prescribed routines and making minor decisions. Work with CheckMate and components including assembly drawings, BOM (bill of materials), product specifications, and work instructions for all production functions and related checklists. Adhere required labels to complete units including ETL listed labels, name plates, startup checklist, wiring diagrams, crane and rigging instructions, special instructions, and other labels as required by in BOM. Ensure that labels are positioned in proper locations and properly aligned. Place required user manual in the unit. Install “Attention Contractor” label in electrical cabinet on designated units. Secure all required uninstalled items inside units to protect against damage in transit. Perform final cleaning of units. Secure final inspection stickers. Address any non-conforming shipment issues and take required photos of the unit. Secure and bolt all doors. Ensure that all water source circuits are completely drained. Switch all MSP’s and breakers to off position. Review the job status in CheckMate to verify all processes have been completed. Document serial numbers of unit and any accompanying devices being shipped with the unit. Perform a visual inspection of all elements of completed the units. Inspect all areas of finished units using production area checklists as guides. Mark completed tasks in CheckMate and make note of any non-conformance. Address identified Non Conformance Report (NCR) as noted. Correct minor, cosmetic or non-repetitive NCR’s. Ensure all major or repetitive NCR’s are corrected by the process owners. Ensure that completed corrections are closed in ETQ by process owners. Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements. Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring corrections are closed in ETQ.
  • Maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
  • Adhering to safety rules and requirements.
  • Participating in meetings and work groups.
  • Minimum Personal Protection Equipment (PPE): Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87.1, Gloves – ANSI Cut 3 4544, Chemical Gloves – Nitrile, Foot Protection, Steel Toe – ASTM F2413-11.
  • Frequently push with up to 120 lbs. of force.
  • Occasionally push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, maneuver, stoop, squat, grasp, and reach.
  • Visual and aural acuity.
