We have an opening for a Quality Care Aide to work Full Time. Lakeview's Quality Care Aide is a member of the resident’s health care team and assists with personal care and training of residents as part of the restorative exercise regimen.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Must have current KS Certified Nurse Assistant Certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, speaking, and writing, when performing duties that require this need, and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
- Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Restorative Nurse Assistant preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implements the restorative plan as written by the Registered Nurse or Therapist.
- Performs specific restorative procedures such as feeding, ambulation, exercise, observation, reports and documents in medical records when completed.
- Assists residents in self-care.
- Accurately obtain weekly and monthly weights.
- Reports any changes or observations regarding the resident to the Assistant Director of Nursing.
- Encourage and promote independence as much as possible.
- Assist with activities individually and as a group.
- Function as a CNA when needed.
- May perform housekeeping duties by cleaning rooms and public spaces as needed.
- Ensure that resident plan of care is followed and report concerns to the nurse on duty.
- Attends to all residents’ personal hygiene/personal care needs, included but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining/nutrition, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs following the resident-centered care approach.
- Ensures that Resident Rights are being followed at all times, including those of fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, including rights to express grievances are followed.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
