About The Position

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Night Shift Quality Assurance Auditor. This role offers a full-time work week in only 3 ½ days, with competitive pay and benefits, stable work, and a caring and supportive environment. The position involves a 3 ½ day work week with a 4-week work day rotation. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write in English
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
Conceptual/Analytical thinking
Attention to detail
Problem solving
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
Self-motivated and self-starter
Maintain confidentiality
Basic computer skills
Understanding of various quality aspects
Able to lift hides up to 100#
Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
Normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience in a tannery or a previous Quality Assurance position

Responsibilities

Input quality attributes and monitor product quality throughout the production process
Communicate quality concerns, trends, and issues with Production personnel and leadership
Collect, evaluate, and document daily samples
Promote and support a safe work environment, including compliance with all PPE requirements
Provide departmental coverage as needed
Participate in cross-training and become proficient in all Quality Assurance functions
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation
Knowledgeable in Hide Brand Sortation
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
