About The Position

The Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to safety and work standards. This role involves reading and interpreting technical documents, performing inspections using various measuring instruments, identifying and quarantining non-conforming materials, and supporting new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. The auditor must work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and conduct various types of audits throughout the plant.

Requirements

  • Associate must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months. (Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion).
  • Associate must not have been removed from or voluntarily stepped down from a bid job in the preceding 6 months.
  • Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
  • Associates cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
  • Associate must be able to work 10+ hours per day and 50+ hours per week.
  • Associate must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • A 90-day probationary period applies to all job postings.
  • Associate submits an application through Workday prior to the posting deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Abide by all safety rules and maintain clean and safe work areas, wearing proper PPE.
  • Perform duties at an acceptable accuracy and efficiency rate.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, product specifications, BOMs, blueprints, and In-Process Control Plans.
  • Maintain cosmetic certifications and make cosmetic decisions based on cosmetic standards.
  • Compare inspection results against product specifications for disposition.
  • Utilize appropriate measuring instruments including calipers, pressure gauges, flow gauges, CMM, optical comparator and others.
  • Identify, tag, and quarantine non-conforming material and notify the appropriate Team Leaders, Production Managers, Quality Engineers, and Quality Coach.
  • Support all new product development efforts as directed by Quality Engineers.
  • Accurately complete SAP transactions including creating appropriate inspection lots, entering inspection data, retrieving BOMs, accessing online drawings, reviewing inventory status, and others.
  • Utilize various holding fixtures and setup tools in lab environment.
  • Conduct special investigations as directed by Quality Engineers, Quality Coaches, and others.
  • Support continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Work with minimal supervision and function well in a team environment.
  • Handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Conduct random product audits, containment audits, and process audits throughout the plant as directed per audit specifications and procedures.
  • Pass the quarterly Audit Requirements test.
  • Quarantine and identify parts as needed.
  • Communicate accurately and well with respective departments.
