About The Position

The Quality Auditor partners and collaborates with internal departments to inspect and validate parts, ensuring they meet customer expectations and specifications. The position includes checking part application, descriptions, quantities, defects, packaging, shipping labels, and required identification or documentation. The incumbent maintains daily inspection records and communicates concerns to supervisors and the department manager. The role also involves understanding and carrying out responsibilities under the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Quality Management Systems Manual. Additional duties may be assigned, and job responsibilities may change as necessary.

Requirements

Ability to physically inspect company property and assets.
Manual dexterity to use a desktop computer and peripherals.
Ability to work seated, walking, or standing for at least 40 hours per week.
Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively and 5 pounds often.
Ability to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Verify container contents for correct part application, including left-hand versus right-hand and front versus rear application where applicable.
Verify color designation, part number, part description, quantity, and conformance to specified requirements.
Check for obvious defects and defects identified in Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, One Point Lessons, and similar materials.
Verify packaging against packaging plans or customer specifications, including packing materials, shipping containers, and skids.
Inspect shipping labels for accuracy, proper application, and legibility.
Verify that any required special identification or documentation is applied to containers.
Maintain a daily report of inspection activities.
Communicate concerns to appropriate supervisors and the department manager.
Understand and carry out responsibilities related to the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS policy CEVPL.00005.
Understand and carry out responsibilities related to CQAM.00001 – Quality Management Systems Manual.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
