About The Position

The Quality Auditor will be responsible to conduct inspections on all the surfaced and/or cut and edge lenses, to ensure the products meet the required standards. Requirements

High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
At least 6 months experience in a production environment
Ability to read, understand and carry out instructions (i.e. operating procedures, safety standards, labels).
Ability to read of a Lensometer and interpret results and findings
Have a near vision capability to 20/40 max with/without corrective prescription eyewear.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain concentration for long periods of time.
Learning agility, ability to multi-task and adapt to a quickly changing environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with light supervision as well as a team player.
Basic Math Skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Data entry / typing skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with SAP / AFS platform
Understanding of internal auditing standards

Responsibilities

Inspect product using established criteria.
Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results and findings.
Record data and report findings upon completion of inspection.
Follow all written and verbal directions provided by Quality Lead, Supervisor and Production Leadership.
Participate in start and end of shift report out.
Separate and label defective product according to established processes and procedures.
Provide immediate feedback to production supervisors/leads.
Fill out basic data collection sheets for all inspected units.
Enter data into database after audit is complete.
Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Reports safety hazards and work-related injuries to supervision immediately.
Work effectively and collaboratively with others.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
This position requires exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals which requires safety training.
