About The Position

JST is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester II to support our team. The Quality Assurance Tester II provides software evaluation activities to ensure the highest quality of software releases. This role is responsible for planning, executing, documenting, and reporting testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle to validate that software solutions meet functional, technical, security, and performance requirements. This is a full-time remote position with periodic onsite support and occasional travel. JST offers a complete benefits package, a collaborative work environment, and strong company culture. Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in software testing, quality assurance, application testing, systems testing, or software validation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • CompTIA Network+ or qualifying degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering (CompTIA Security+, CEH, CFR, GSEC, PenTest+, SSCP, and other qualifying higher-level cybersecurity certifications may be used in lieu of Network+).
  • Ability to obtain & maintain a Secret clearance.
  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug and background check

Nice To Haves

  • ISTQB testing certifications
  • experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, JMeter, SoapUI, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitLab, API testing, security testing, and cloud-based application validation.
  • 2–5 years of experience supporting software quality assurance activities.
  • Experience performing functional, integration, regression, and security testing.
  • Experience using: Test management tools, Defect tracking tools, Requirements management tools
  • Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience supporting automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience validating software requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience supporting cloud-hosted and enterprise software applications.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience supporting software release and deployment testing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
  • Support requirements validation and traceability
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts
  • Document, track, and verify defect resolution
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevSecOps activities
  • Support release readiness and deployment validation
  • Maintain test documentation, metrics, and reports
