About The Position

Kent Quality Foods, a premier manufacturer of specialty meat products, is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our Hudsonville facility. We are a well-established business with almost seven decades of success, and even if you do not know our name, you will surely know our products. This role is a great fit for someone who is accountable, has strong time management and attention to detail, can build and maintain rapport with production staff, and enjoys being on their feet all day in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

3 years of relevant experience in a regulated production or manufacturing environment.
An understanding of HACCP.
Respect and adherence for all food safety policies and procedures.
Experience using an ERP or Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, and other departments.
A strong work ethic; able to work independently.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, work in a refrigerated production environment, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs., and use a variety of hand tools and equipment to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

HACCP Certification preferred.
Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Enforce all food safety policies and procedures, including GMP, SSOP, and HACCP programs.
Monitor production conditions.
Verify that products meet specifications.
Stop production when food safety concerns arise or specifications are not being met.
Complete required documentation and Redzone checks.
Communicate potential issues to management in a timely manner.
