The Quality Assurance Technician will be responsible for auditing, documenting, and enforcing USDA and facility regulations. This role involves performing checks and verifications to ensure the food safety and quality program is being followed, monitoring SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, and performing HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations. The technician will also work with FSIS/USDA, present records as requested, and aid the QA Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations. A key part of the role is working closely with production associates to monitor meat product AQL standards and specifications, correcting deficiencies, and notifying management of any violations. Additionally, the technician will maintain lab equipment through proper cleaning and regular maintenance, and perform other assigned duties.
