About The Position

The Quality Assurance Technician is to provide plant wide primary support service for food safety, HAACP compliance, and designated quality assurance duties ensuring products produced are within all safety and quality specifications. This is accomplished through auditing, collecting, and recording quality data, inspecting, and testing of incoming materials, work in process and finished product.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 1+year(s) of food manufacturing experience are preferred; or any combination of education, experience and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must exhibit a knowledge of Safety standards and practices, ensuring that each shift ends with no preventable workplace accidents
  • Must possess and demonstrate advanced knowledge of Food Safety, Quality and GMPs as it pertains to personal and manufacturing practices ensuring minimum risk of contamination
  • Must be able to detect subtle differences in color, flavor and texture of product and materials
  • Possess and demonstrate knowledge of internal systems and processes
  • Solid competency with various computer software programs including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to follow direction and use critical thinking to achieve goals
  • Must work well in a collaborative and multi-cultural, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and within deadlines
  • Adaptability/flexibility to changing priorities is imperative as well as the ability to act/react in real time
  • Results driven and proactive with ability to own and execute area of responsibility with excellence
  • Analytical/Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and suggest corrective measures.
