About The Position

This is a "hands on" non-production operation role. The Quality Assurance Technician 1 is responsible for ensuring all SSOP and Quality programs are followed correctly and completed. This role involves establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with the U.S.D.A., providing a resource to operations and sanitation personnel, and completing all records pertaining to the Quality Assurance SSOP Program. The technician will also perform clerical functions for Quality Assurance, monitor and check freezer/cooler storage areas, monitor plant AQL levels, and monitor and enforce MTP’s GMP and safety policies. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be able to wear all necessary personal protective wear required while performing role: protective eye wear, ear plugs, hard hat/bump cap, hair net, white coat (clothing protector), gloves (plastic/cotton), plastic apron, and all other required PPE’s

Responsibilities

• Ensure all SSOP and Quality programs are being followed correctly and being completed
• Establish and maintain good working relationship with U.S.D.A.
• Provide a resource to operations and sanitation personnel
• Complete all records pertaining to Quality Assurance SSOP Program
• Perform clerical functions for Quality Assurance (filing, making copies, etc.)
• Monitor and check freezer/cooler storage areas
• Monitor plant AQL levels
• Monitor and enforce MTP’s GMP and Safety Policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
