Quality Assurance Technician 1 - CA - 6019 Your Role Reporting to the Quality Director, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring product compliance and supporting activities that contribute to maintaining an effective quality management system.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) in industrial engineering, quality assurance, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in quality within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa, RCCA, CAPA, SPC, and related methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of measuring and inspection tools.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of applicable quality standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant standards depending on the industry.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and verifications on products during production and on finished goods.
  • Verify product compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, standards, and procedures.
  • Identify, document, and follow up on nonconformities.
  • Participate in quality investigations, root cause analyses (RCCA), and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper control of quality documentation and traceability of records.
  • Conduct internal process and product audits, as required.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and optimizing processes.
  • Contribute to employee training and awareness regarding quality requirements.
  • Prepare and communicate quality performance indicators.
  • Comply with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
