About The Position

The Quality Assurance Team Lead will be responsible for maintaining the Quality Assurance Lab, QA Ignition Software, and QA Robots on the floor. This role involves communicating with QA Inspectors and QA Technicians across all shifts, supporting the training of QA Technicians to strengthen the QA department, and monitoring and reporting on processes and controls. The Team Lead will also troubleshoot potential quality issues, improve measurement techniques and testing, and oversee gauge calibrations/verifications. Additionally, they will educate QA staff on procedures for new products, maintain and document special testing, and collaborate with other departments on CQV runs and special samples. The position requires maintaining the SPC database and adhering to all company safety, environmental, and health requirements, along with performing any other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to calculate parts requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous quality assurance experience preferred
  • Computer skills (Proficient in Excel, Minitab, SPC, and Ignition)
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • Ability to lift 40lbs occasionally
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a professional manner

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Quality Assurance Lab, QA Ignition Software and QA Robots on the floor
  • Communicate with QA Inspectors and QA Technicians from all shifts
  • Support training of QA Technicians to help solidify the QA department
  • Monitor and report on processes and controls
  • Troubleshoot potential quality issues
  • Improve measurement techniques and testing
  • Monitor, maintain, and oversee gauge calibrations/verifications in all labs and QA Robots
  • Educate QA Inspectors and QA Technicians on procedures regarding new products or tests
  • Maintain, document, and perform special testing on products specified by customers and Product Development
  • Work with departments on CQV runs, size studies, or other special runs or samples
  • Maintain SPC database
  • Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental, and department of health requirements
  • Any other duties as required by the leadership team
