About The Position
Quality Assurance Supervisor - Join the DFS Family! At Diversified Foods and Seasonings (a division of Al Copeland Investments), we produce millions of pounds of top-quality, kettle-cooked side dishes and gravies annually, serving restaurants across the U.S. and globally. We are proud of our product and our team, and we’re looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join us in Madisonville, LA!
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including FDA, USDA, and HACCP.
- Physical capability to stand for 10 hours, lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in fast-paced conditions.
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of quality assurance technicians in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Ensure products meet regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.) and company specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for quality assurance activities, including audits, test results, and corrective actions.
- Conduct root cause analysis of product quality issues and work with the production team to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of QA team members.
