This position promotes, implements, and monitors the Vertex Quality Management Philosophy throughout the AIMD program. The supervisor will maintain daily liaison with Site Managers, Government team members, and on-site personnel to address issues relative to the Quality Assurance Program. This role involves determining the level and type of quality audits needed through daily statistical analysis of problem areas, and providing a systematic and efficient method of gathering, analyzing, and maintaining information on maintenance and material defects that impact the AIMD Program production effort. The supervisor will review incoming technical publications and directives, evaluate existing methods for potential improvements, and establish controls to ensure quality procedures meet contractual requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing contract changes, performing as the Technical Data Management Officer, monitoring trend analysis, investigating customer complaints, establishing technical task forces, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9000 Quality System Standards. The role also involves planning training, monitoring staff performance, managing safety procedures, providing technical assistance, reviewing reports, coordinating with IT for data analysis, determining root causes of sub-standard performance, briefing on Tool Control and FOD Prevention, reporting discrepancies, coordinating with rework activities, monitoring contract compliance, ensuring proper submission of deficiency reports, providing monthly data reports, ensuring compliance with safety rules, and ensuring maintenance instructions and quality procedures are current. The position requires maintaining high ethical standards and may involve other assigned managerial duties.
