About The Position

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to the position. This role involves providing timely and accurate records and bookkeeping data to the Executive Director, overseeing assigned division assets, and ensuring vehicle leases are current with all maintenance and safety recalls completed. The specialist will chair the division Safety Committee, participate in scheduled meetings and training, and maintain professional and ethical standards. Additionally, the position provides evaluation and supportive services to residential programs in areas such as assets, maintenance, food, transportation, and travel/safety. Key functions include serving as a liaison with supply vendors, coordinating emergency evacuations, overseeing division safety initiatives and workplace safety data, and providing evaluative oversight and supervision for the National School Lunch Program Director. The role also supports, encourages, and recruits foster parents for Foster Care Programs.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English.
  • Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and duties efficiently.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
  • Receive an annual Influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption as a medical or religious accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
  • Provide timely and accurate records and bookkeeping data to the Compass Connections Executive Director.
  • Provide oversight of assigned division assets using a pre-determined system for procuring, assigning, and reassigning assets as it related to A-133 guidelines and agency policy.
  • Ensure all vehicle leases are up to date and all maintenance and safety recalls are completed according to lease requirements.
  • Serve as the chair of the division Safety Committee.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings, in-service training, and team decisions.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
  • Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.
  • Provide evaluation and supportive services to programs in the residential service division in the areas of assets, maintenance, food, transportation, and travel/safety.
  • Serve as a liaison between the residential programs and supply vendors, using Compass Connections procurement as appropriate, as it relates to travel, safety, food, maintenance, and assets.
  • Provide tactical and strategic coordination during emergency evacuation of the service population.
  • Provide oversight of division safety initiatives and workplace safety data.
  • Provide evaluative oversight of the National School Lunch Program activities and deliverables and supervision of the National School Lunch Program Director.
  • Work irregular days/hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, depending on needs.
  • Frequently transverse from one location to another.
  • Meets all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.
  • Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.
