About The Position

Support the CareerSource Capital Region programs to ensure that all team members are knowledgeable of program procedures and contract requirements. This position is responsible for providing targeted training to the team to ensure they are equipped to carry out their responsibilities effectively and consistently. The Quality Assurance Specialist will collaborate with the CareerSource team and the EDSI team to align processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of federal and state contracting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A pattern of excellence in training both 1:1 and groups of professionals
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to manage compliance, data and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong visual and verbal presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation in order to provide support to the Capital Region

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s degree is preferred, but relevant experience can be substituted

Responsibilities

  • Work with staff to ensure customer flow, service delivery and data management are efficient and effective
  • Have a deep understanding of program processes and procedures
  • When new initiatives or procedures are created, establish a training plan and ensure every team member has been provided with the information
  • Identify skill gaps in all Capital Region programs
  • Once identified, develop 1:1 and/or group training to support the team and increase learning
  • Monitor and record pre-training and post-training outcomes to show skill attainment
  • Perform regular audits
  • Establish an internal monitoring schedule to ensure adherence to contract performance
  • Establish a shadowing process that allows for observation of daily activities to identify areas of support and process improvement
  • Provide CareerSource leadership with advice on current procedures and process flows
  • Provide regular status reports and other requested data for the Operations Director and EDSI administrative staff
  • Have a clear understanding of performance goals for the region and how to pull performance data when needed
  • Provide regular reports of shadowing and monitoring
  • Assist the leadership team with tasks as needed to meet deadlines
  • Act as the ISO liaison for the EDSI team in the Capital Region
  • Track, report and ensure compliance with procedures regarding ISO auditing
  • Other duties as assigned
