Requirements

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • 3+ years of quality assurance experience required, 5+ preferred.
  • Experience with Quality Management system including ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditation audits program required.
  • Experience with failure and root cause analysis, material characterization, quality report such as 8D, implementing permanent corrective actions and drive continuous improvement (lean, six-sigma).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical fundamentals together with product/process design and validation procedures including test methods and equipment.
  • Experience with 2D/3D mechanical design (i.e., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and develop mechanical components for Thermocouples and/or similar/related products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment with little supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with noble metals, laser welding of noble metal thermocouple is considered a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the quality assurance activities developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products under the direction of the Technology Manager for the Temperature Sensing team.
  • Deploying and maintaining Group’s Quality Management system including manufacturing instruction, procedures, training programs and formulate strategies that increase productivity and review processes to align them with current trends.
  • Performing regular audits, both internal and external, to maintain the highest level of quality and to comply with Group quality accreditation such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
  • Providing mechanical and electrical design using internal tools of both intermediates and final products in conjunction with the Production team and define process and procedures to make sure the final products are in spec and in line with final application requirements.
  • Supporting sales for material characterization and failure analysis such as but not limited to 8D report, providing technical and quality information the final Customer may require.
  • Working on a regular basis deal with tight demanding timelines for business-critical development projects and manufacturing issues. The timelines will be driven by need to meet internal and external customer demands and business objectives.
