Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer
About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support capital projects at power generation facilities across Colorado. This role is semi-hybrid and field-based, requiring 3-4 days per week onsite at generating plants. The position involves frequent travel throughout Colorado and occasional out-of-state travel (5-10% of the time). The QA/QC Engineer will serve as the quality subject matter expert, collaborating with Project Managers, plant personnel, and contractors to ensure construction and maintenance work adheres to quality standards and project requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- 3–7 years of experience in power generation, utilities, industrial construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, telecommunications, infrastructure, or a similar environment.
- 3+ years of experience performing QA/QC inspections, testing verification, quality audits, and defect identification.
- Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality management practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Develop project quality plans for capital projects.
- Conduct field inspections, audits, and installation walkdowns to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor contractor work, identify quality issues, and support corrective actions.
- Support testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Document findings and provide quality reporting to project teams and team members.
