About The Position

This role involves providing onsite oversight and inspection of construction projects. The selected candidate will review completed and in-progress work for conformance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. They will monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, identify deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions. The position requires preparing daily inspection reports, maintaining accurate project documentation, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues. The role also involves monitoring project progress and providing guidance to contractors and site personnel. The selected candidate must be a US Citizen and able to pass and maintain a Public Trust background check. Extensive travel to project sites is required, potentially including overnight stays, nights, weekends, and occasional holiday coverage.

Requirements

  • US Citizen
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Quality Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in construction management, construction inspection, quality assurance/quality control, project management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in OSHA safety, construction inspection, quality management, or project management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA, Joint Commissioning and safety procedures with skills in conducting accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, critical thinking skills, and proficiency with standard testing tools.
  • Knowledge of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice regulations and codes.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and the willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with Kahua is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite oversight and inspection of construction

  • Conduct quality inspections, observations, and assessments.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and provide project updates for Construction.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, inspection records, photographs, and reports.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to resolve construction and quality issues.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule, quality, or compliance issues.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to contractors and site personnel.
  • Perform other duties as required to support timely project delivery.
