Requirements

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and tools (PPAP, RCCA, APQP, SPC, AS9102 FAIR, Gage R&R).
  • Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation.
  • Experience with AS9100/AS9110, NADCAP, and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAC).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality, Operations or Engineering.
  • Only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects required for proper evaluation and resolution of quality related matters and technical issues during manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components.
  • Support activities related to quality system requirements compliance.
  • Develop, track, and provide statistical analysis, reports, and metrics for quality-related activities.
  • Complete Quality Engineering assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
  • Manage supplier quality, interplant, and customer interfaces.
  • Manage internal and customer drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure timely release of control of configuration management documents.
  • Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
  • Establish and maintain applicable measurements/metrics for monitoring product quality effectiveness (FPY, COPQ, Defects, Escapes).
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance to drive/implement solutions for improvement.
  • Implement process improvement projects, Six Sigma, and 90-day projects.
  • Lead Built-in Quality Process (Real-time problem resolution, advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, mistake proofing, and Manufacturing Process Control).
  • Review customer purchase orders, contracts, and change requests and take proper actions.
  • Develop inspection plans, methods, and technologies to assure the reliability and conformance of products and processes.
  • Develop and implement product quality plans and control plans.
  • Provide quality support/review/approval on Engineering Process Instructions.
  • Establish Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility for critical measurement tools.
  • Conduct First Article Inspection Report (FAIR).
  • Lead all phases of the Escape Management Process (containment, correction, prevention).
  • Present Corrective Actions to the Monthly Executive CAB.
  • Lead the review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition types, including burndown plans for MRB locations.
  • Submit Concessions to customers and follow up to closure.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities to resolve customer complaints and internal defects in a timely manner that prevents reoccurrence.
  • Provide daily support to the shop floor on quality product impact.
  • Participate, lead, and co-lead T4 meetings.
  • Interact daily with shop floor employees, leads, and supervisors to understand issues and identify technical solutions.
  • Identify Quality CapEx Projects to improve Quality Product.
  • Conduct Internal Product Audits.
  • Design and implement process control for Inspection of supplier's product or processes (Quality Plans, Incoming Inspection Report, AQL Sampling).
  • Represent Process Quality in the product development process, ensuring process compliance at each phase of development and signing off on gate progression.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Direct and train other quality and associated department employees.
