Requirements

  • College or technical degree in Aerospace with 5+ years’ experience OR Bachelor's degree (technical) in Aerospace with 3+ years’ experience OR 7+ years’ of combined academic knowledge and experience
  • 3 years+ experience of Quality Management in Aerospace
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) and excellent communication skills
  • Understanding and use of computer systems and tools (Microsoft Office, Excel Intermediate etc.)
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Good analytical skills, problem solver and has a track record of delivering results
  • Must be Canadian Citizen or permanent resident of Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace qualified auditor and certified green belt
  • Strong IT skills (Excel Advanced, Pivot Tables, Programming, Visual Basic for Applications, WebPage creation)

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality and safety management system documentation including translations and ensure local documents are in line with Rolls-Royce Management System
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to document authors regarding the necessary formats and style for inclusion in the Rolls-Royce Management System documentation
  • Promote Rolls-Royce Management System and facilitate access to documentation
  • Support Quality and Safety Management System processes (Audit, Supplier Quality and Training, etc.) to meet regulatory, customer and business requirements.
  • Create / Revise Maintenance Policy Manuals in line with Transport Canada and other Civil Aviation Authorities requirements
  • Support the audit program and conduct internal and supplier audits
  • Ensure effective problem resolution (root cause analysis, corrective actions, 8D) and that the corporate quality tools and best practices are appropriately applied.
  • Promote audit and problem resolution management best practices and facilitate the sharing of audit lessons learnt
  • Support third party approvals and external audits conducted by Certification Bodies, Authorities and Customers
  • Manage customer survey and provide required documentation to customers
  • Host regulatory, customer and certification audits and manage results
  • Support Supplier Approval / Maintain processes in line with Rolls-Royce Requirements
  • Maintain supplier risk assessment and approved supplier list
  • Educate and coach suppliers in the application of relevant Rolls-Royce requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure Quality Notifications process (investigation, analysis, response and closure) is effective
  • Analyse data and information on supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities and provide input to various boards
  • Working with suppliers, lead and implement improvement projects
  • Liaise with other Rolls-Royce facilities to ensure Rolls-Royce allocation for supplier control and support is fully optimized.
  • If applicable, create/maintain the training program and coordinate training activities to ensure that applicable requirements are met and that training is adequate, effective and within budget.
  • Ensure that training records are maintained in accordance with applicable requirements (civil aviation authorities, Nadcap, RRMS, etc.) and that related systems are up-to-date and accurate.
