About The Position

The Sutsel Ghidelh (Quality Assurance Manager) provides independent oversight to ensure Tŝilhqot’in Nidlin’s programs and services are high-quality, culturally grounded, and aligned with Tŝilhqot’in Law and established standards. This role leads quality assurance, compliance monitoring, risk identification, and performance evaluation processes, while supporting continuous improvement efforts to strengthen services across the Nation. The Sutsel Ghidelh will report on program and service delivery performance while overseeing budgets and financial management to ensure compliance, build and maintain strong working relationships, and develop performance measures, outcome indicators, and data systems to monitor and improve services. They will be responsible for conducting practice reviews following critical incidents, identifying systemic risks and compliance gaps, and providing clear recommendations for leadership and governance to strengthen service quality.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Human Services, Quality Management, Public Administration, Business Administration); equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ progressive experience in child and family services, social services, or Indigenous service delivery.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in leadership or supervisory role.
  • Experience in quality assurance, compliance, practice evaluation, or performance monitoring within service delivery systems.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous child and family legislation and practice frameworks (e.g., CFCSA, AOPSI, delegated agency models, federal legislation such as Bill C-92).
  • Knowledge of Tŝilhqot’in Law, governance, culture, and community context, with a commitment to culturally grounded practice.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Must reside in, or be willing to move to, Tŝilhqot’in Nation territory (or Williams Lake area, BC).
  • Frequent travel within and outside Tŝilhqot’in Territory, including consistent visits to each of the six Tŝilhqot’in communities.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License required.
  • Clean criminal records check including vulnerable sector check.
