About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of support tasks within Quality Systems and Quality Assurance in a cGMP-regulated environment. The goal of this role is to provide the intern hands-on experience in quality documentation, regulatory compliance, supplier relations, laboratory coordination, and global certification processes while supporting operational excellence and risk reduction across domestic and international markets.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in a science-based, quality, regulatory, or related field with 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, review, and submit documentation required for domestic and international shipments.
  • Assist in preparation of product documentation required for customs clearance.
  • Create and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming materials and finished goods for international distribution.
  • Review, approve, and assist in the creation or updating of controlled cGMP forms and quality documentation.
  • Maintain organized quality records in accordance with FDA and cGMP requirements
  • Extract and interpret data from internal systems and files to respond to internal, distributor, or regulatory inquiries
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain required documentation, specifications, or clarifications.
  • Support responses to international distributors or customer quality-related questions, escalating as appropriate.
  • Perform inspections of incoming materials and assist in collecting laboratory samples for testing.
  • Support investigations for materials or finished goods that fall outside of specifications
  • Assist in reviewing customer feedback and participating in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Utilize established escalation pathways for non-conforming materials or processes.
  • Support documentation gathering and analysis for product certifications such as Non-GMO, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and Halal.
  • Support efforts to maintain facility audit readiness and ongoing cGMP compliance.
  • Assist in preparation activities for third-party certification audits.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP.
