This role manages the inspection and release of incoming materials, including color, resin, material, and liners, as well as the Certificate of Analysis/Certificate of Conformance (COA/COC) process. The inspector will maintain all records, provide accurate and timely documents to the shipping department and customers, and review supplier COAs to release or reject incoming raw materials. Additionally, this position leads the HFI (inspection, reselection, rework) process, manages NCR (Non-Conformance Report) databases, and continuously monitors non-conforming product. The inspector will assure the quality of HFI inspection/reselection and timely results, maintain HFI and NCR records, and communicate and delegate activities to HFI employees. The role also involves managing Production PR Packets, ensuring they are printed and completed on time, and that all labels are correctly placed. The inspector will review, close, and file PR packets, and maintain an inventory of labels. A key responsibility is maintaining accurate SAP inventory for non-conforming products and placing/releasing them on hold in SAP. The inspector will also support product testing, read and interpret specifications, perform visual and functional inspections, use measuring equipment, collect traceability information, gather documents for package start-up, approve labels, and supply accurate data to the manufacturing department. Support for Quality Training Events and adherence to company policies, including ISO/BRC Standards, Health and Safety, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures, are also required.
