About The Position

CPI Composite Structures - AdamWorks Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AS9100 QC Inspector to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be directly involved in ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards, helping us connect with a wide variety of customers around the world. This position is on site at our Centennial, Colorado Manufacturing facility. COMPANY OVERVIEW CPI Radant is the radome-and-composite structures division of Communications & Power Industries LLC (CPI). They are formally known as CPI Radant Technologies Division, and they serve the aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial industries by designing, manufacturing, testing and supporting advanced composite radomes, reflectors and structural composite products. Radomes are special “domes” made of composite materials that protect antennas and radar systems from the environment while allowing electromagnetic signals to pass. CPI Radant produces these for critical applications, meaning: They enable secure communications and radar/electronic-warfare capabilities for military and commercial aerospace platforms. Their manufacturing includes large apertures and high-frequency performance. Their advances in composite manufacturing and large structures feed into modern aircraft, satellites, naval vessels, etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a QC/QA inspector in the military or aerospace industries.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards.
  • Proficient in using precision hand tools, including calipers, scales, tape measures, micrometers, and pin gauges.
  • Must be able to work unassisted and stand for extended periods (8 hours minimum).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR (citizen or national of the United States; lawful permanent resident of the United States; or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of standard aerospace industry requirements.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 FAA terms.
  • Experience as a DIMR (Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative) or a representative with delegated 8130 source inspection authority.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of quality control functions, working closely with other inspectors and QA engineers.
  • Conduct in-process inspections, including Layup, Visual, Tap Test, Trim, Drill and Assembly.
  • Complete Inspection Records for all inspections.
  • Document and track Non-Conforming Conditions.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity in manufacturing areas.
  • Perform final inspections and release products to shipping.
  • Track and manage calibration.
  • Assist in audit preparation and internal auditing.
  • Prepare conformance packages.
  • Maintain Equipment Maintenance Logs.
  • Generate and maintain work orders and work instructions.
  • Process work orders and update EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials).
  • Perform receiving inspections on all incoming items.
  • Scan and file lot records.
  • Prepare Material Use Sheets.
  • Maintain completed Material Use Sheets.
