Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Five years of quality assurance and inspection experience
  • Efficient use of computer-based software systems such as MS Office
  • Familiarity and understanding of geometric and dimensional tolerancing

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient and experience with ERP/MRP systems (Infor LN or similar) is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple internal and external projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of governmentâ
  • Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies is favored

Responsibilities

  • Assure final product quality through development and implementation of First Article Inspection (FAI) and Operator Process Control Awareness (OPCA) plans.
  • Manage supplier, process, product audits and inspections.
  • Resolve corrective action requests involving supplier issues.
  • Implement 5 Why’s tools to resolve internal issues.
  • Interface with relative personnel to resolve problems/issues with internal and external products.
  • Recommend methods for improved utilization of resources.
  • Review quotes, purchase orders and sales orders submitted by customer service, for quality requirements.
  • Establish a monthly/quarterly cadence for performing internal audits.
  • Participate in nonconforming material (NCMR) investigations internally and externally.
  • Prepare Quality Assurance activity information, in response to customer requests.
  • Use Failure and Analysis Tools to correct issues (PFMEA.
  • Receive, distribute and maintain a QA database of all customers, supplier and regulatory alerts.
  • Represent Quality Assurance in critical design review meetings.
