About The Position

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, this role will support product-specific quality requirements to ensure compliance to the Customer, Regulatory and Quality Management System standards. Your responsibilities in this role: Conduct/participate in internal audits per the audit schedule (include product/process, capability, planning, part/component certifications, inspections). Create and maintain detailed inspection reports/findings and other quality documentation. Provide Quality Management System (QMS) support to site functions. Support the development and release of the QA procedures and forms by verifying the applicable processes for QA, assembly, inspection and testing and reviewing supporting documentation. Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including dimensional, functional, and visual checks to ensure product configuration is maintained. Manage internal product related and supplier non-conformance and complete documentation as well as reports where required. Help with the build and coordinate Final Product Acceptance Testing (ATS) and provide data summaries for customer reviews. Work with applicable stakeholders to arrange for external product testing at offsite locations and support internal testing activities where required. Work with production, engineering and other functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). Use KPI trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and quality performance monitoring. Support Program Team to review for compliance and implement any contract amendments regarding the Quality Assurance Plan. Train quality team and stakeholders on the QMS, processes, and other quality related items. Champion application and usage of IFS and Q-Pulse (system champion). Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge gained through other forms of education or training
  • Proven experience in a quality assurance role
  • Experience working in a ISO9001/14001 certified manufacturing facility or company
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and excellent computer skills
  • Proven experience as Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, Assembly diagrams
  • Knowledge of quality inspection principles
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset
  • Willing to work shift work if required
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements
