About The Position

Under the direction of department management, this position exercises responsibility for the execution of Quality Assurance strategies and tactical plans at the USBRP2 (Berea, KY) site. This position exercises independent judgment routinely and operates within established guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work from Engineering specifications, manuals, drawings, established procedures, verbal and written instructions, use a variety of precision measuring equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess basic supervisory skills, SPC, FMEA, 8-D corrective action and DOE knowledge.
  • KAIZEN activities.
  • Ability to use common Microsoft computer program such as Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint as above average skill level.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years prior automotive QA related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support new model launch including data preparation & submission.
  • Participate in new model meetings and provide quality deliverables.
  • Facilitating root cause analysis.
  • Track, compile & report out on trial events.
  • Visiting customers as necessary; working to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Inspection activity for incoming components & finished products.
  • Interface with customer for meetings and transfer of quality documentation.
  • Providing support and data to other departments as necessary.
  • Continually working to reduce defects in area of responsibility through cross functional continuous improvement teams.
  • Cooperating with all other personnel as necessary.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly Quality reports to the Q.A. Supervisor.
  • Tracks continuous improvement through measurable reports/graphs.
  • Responsible for scrap meetings daily and scrap reports weekly.
