About The Position

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer III for multiple positions available in Irvine, California. This role involves creating quality plans, defining test strategies, and driving test execution processes for large-scale software systems. The engineer will perform functional, regression, performance, and accessibility testing, and develop and maintain both manual and automation testing strategies. Key responsibilities include developing scripts and automated test cases to increase efficiency, gathering and reporting quality metrics, participating in design and specification reviews, and promoting QA productivity through automation and best practices. The role also requires ensuring comprehensive test coverage by collaborating with product and engineering teams, prioritizing testing, and reporting on progress and results. Additionally, the engineer will advise project management and development teams on technical issues related to testing procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered, or as a Programmer/Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Developer, or a related occupation.
• One year of experience in developing tests for large-scale software systems using Java or Shell Scripts in a Windows, UNIX, or Linux environment.
• One year of experience in documenting and coordinating the deployment of manual and automated tests for complex systems.
