The Quality Engineer II role in Bothell, WA, is responsible for developing methods and procedures for process control, testing, inspection, and continuous improvement to ensure products meet design intent. This includes designing and installing test equipment, evaluating product performance, analyzing data to reduce defects, and reviewing reports and nonconforming products to identify trends and drive corrective actions. The role also involves partnering with suppliers to resolve issues and improve quality, applying AS9100 standards, using SPC and metrics, reviewing designs and tooling, preparing technical documentation, performing MRB, FMEA, Gauge R&R, and audits, managing flow-downs, and leading improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong engineering fundamentals

Responsibilities

  • Establishes quality standards for products and processes and suggest modifications meant to prevent defects in components or final products.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management, and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks.
  • Audits production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure that established quality standards are met.
  • Conducts root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures.
  • May be responsible for ensuring compliance with formal external quality standards, such as ISO 9001.
  • Applies AS9100; uses SPC and metrics; reviews designs and tooling; prepares technical documentation; performs MRB, FMEA, Gauge R&R, and audits; manages flow-downs; and leads improvement initiatives.
