About The Position

Under limited supervision, performs quality assurance support for the Quality Assurance (QA) team. Typical job duties are routine and require use of standard techniques and procedures. This role involves maintaining the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD), ensuring its implementation, and fostering a close working relationship with senior and operational management to guarantee Quality Assurance services are properly executed and meet company needs. The position has budgetary responsibility and directs all activities related to the development and implementation of Quality Assurance policies, procedures, and systems. It also involves developing training programs for site personnel involved in Quality Assurance work and assisting in establishing operational standards. The manager plans, schedules, and organizes work to ensure employee utilization and compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and budgetary guidelines. They are responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels for supervised personnel to effectively execute the assigned scope of work, instructing employees on work methods and performance expectations, and providing leadership and motivation. The role requires interfacing with internal and external groups, senior management, other locations, auditors, and client representatives. The manager is also responsible for developing or reviewing/updating various plans, policies, or procedures, performing personnel actions, and conducting performance appraisals. Duties are complex in nature, and other job-related duties may be assigned. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining knowledge of and demonstrating the ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. If supervising others, the manager is responsible for their safety and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures. The role also includes acting as the QA Functional Area Manager (FAM) and actively participating in Safety Work Groups.

Responsibilities
