About The Position

Works as an operator in training or assistant operator by performing the following duties. At L2 Brands, we make the gear people love to wear. For more than 30 years, we’ve been designing and delivering high-quality, custom-logo apparel, headwear, and home décor for the Collegiate, Resort/Destination, Golf, and Corporate markets. Through our lifestyle brands — League, Legacy, Ouray, Locale, and Wild Tribute — we help fans, travelers, golfers, and employees show pride in the schools, destinations, traditions, and workplaces that matter to them. If you’ve ever thrown on a favorite college hoodie or souvenir hat, there’s a good chance we had something to do with it.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, apply common sense, and comprehend simple instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers, and effectively present information one-on-one or in small groups.
Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and work with percentages.
Consistently present and on time for scheduled shifts.
Produces accurate, error-free work that meets quality standards.
Works effectively with coworkers and supervisors to meet production goals.
Follows all safety protocols and reports hazards or concerns.
Adjusts to changing production priorities and volume.

Responsibilities

Follow the direction of the Lead Operator and the Shift Supervisor.
Help break down jobs.
Ensure ink is removed from screens, squeegees, and flood bars.
Help move ink in screens while jobs are running on the machine.
Clean squeegees and flood bars.
Unload for Operators when appropriate.
Understand that different styles and sizes require different placements.
Learn to identify quality issues with both the garment and the print.
Learn to consistently load garments straight and in the same position onto the machine pallets while the machine is running.
Understand proper squeegee selection.
Fill out Tech Sheets to record how designs are printed, when necessary.
Change pallet tape and pallets as necessary.
Help maintain a clean and organized work area.
Demonstrate commitment to company values.
Monitor your own work to ensure quality. Look for ways to improve and promote quality. Apply feedback to improve performance and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
Always follow current safety and security procedures. Determine appropriate action beyond guidelines. Report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly.
Work on special projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by (functional area senior management team member).
Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or equipment needs to the supervisor promptly.
