About The Position

The QA Associate assists the QA Associate Director in determining client eligibility for Medi Cal/EPSDT services, tracking clinical chart completion and due dates, and working with individual clinicians to answer ad hoc questions, correct errors, improve documentation quality and to ensure the accuracy of data entry.

Requirements

  • Two years post graduate experience; on track with licensure; registered with BBS
  • Two year for experience working with Medi-Cal documentation particularly with San Francisco systems care
  • Experience with AVATAR Electronic system highly preferred
  • Experience providing therapy to children and families

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that HCN charts are audit-ready, organized in electronic and physical files, and meet city, state and federal compliance standards.
  • Running Operations Reports in AVATAR and updating internal documentation tracking systems
  • Holding weekly drop-in assistance times for clinicians who need tutoring in documentation
  • Providing training to staff and interns on documentation standards and best practices, including contributing to and updating the clinical training manual.
  • Ongoing chart review-both paper and electronic records in AVATAR
  • Attendance at staff meetings
  • Attending meetings and trainings as required by SFDPH
  • Weekly supervision with QA Associate Director
  • Weekly Program Utilization Review and Quality Control (PURQC) Committee meeting with Quality Associate Director.
  • Assist with monthly onsite peer chart review with clinical staff and interns
