About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to provide support with the implementation of operational activities, including regulatory, licensure, accreditation, inspections, auditing, sample management, and quality and operational metrics. This role may also support event management, document and records management, and education and training programs. The assistant will participate in continuous improvement activities and provide customer service to external clients. This is a limited-tenure role intended to support the formation, launch, and stabilization of a new company and laboratory, with the expectation of transitioning to a permanent infrastructure position within a separate company as the organization matures. Responsibilities and schedules may vary based on operational milestones.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 2 years relevant experience or Associates' degree.
  • Working in DLMP or a laboratory quality or administrative assistant role preferred.
  • A strong background in basic computer programs utilized in DLMP, such as Microsoft Office for graphing and process flow.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, possess proven problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently on multiple tasks and complete assignments on time.
  • Good human relations/communication/organizational skills are needed to interact with various levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support with the implementation of the work unit's operational activities, which may include but not be limited to regulatory, licensure and accreditation, inspections, auditing, sample management, and quality and operational metrics.
  • May support but not limited to the following quality management activities: event management, document and records management, education and training programs.
  • Participates in and supports work unit, divisional and departmental continuous improvement activities.
  • Provides customer service activities for clients external to Mayo Clinic.
  • Responsibilities and schedules may vary as operational milestones are achieved with the anticipated post-launch schedules: First shift: 6AM – 2:30 PM, Second Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday with rotating weekend.
